Established law firm based in Sacramento, with a busy, fast-moving litigation practice, known for putting newer attorneys into real work early. Our junior litigators regularly argue motions, take depositions, get client-facing work, and sit second chair at trials.


Responsibilities:

  • Work through complex legal problems for a mix of public and private clients
  • Draft briefs, legal memoranda, and other written advocacy
  • Appear at hearings, law and motion, and trial
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Handle written discovery, from propounding to responding
  • Research legal questions and counsel clients across a range of issues
  • Review and interpret contracts and other documents


Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of litigation experience
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • An interest in litigation and being in the courtroom
  • Ability to read and and interpret complex legal documents
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • Active California bar license in good standing
